A Fundação Gol de Letra é uma organização da sociedade civil que desenvolve práticas e saberes socioeducativos para mais de 2.100 crianças, adolescentes e jovens de 6 a 30 anos, nas cidades de Rio de Janeiro (bairros do Caju e Barreira do Vasco) e São Paulo (Vila Albertina), além de trabalhar com a disseminação de suas práticas socioeducativas para outras comunidades, em parceria com organizações locais, resultando em mais 1.400 crianças e adolescentes atendidos de forma indireta. A fundação foi criada em 1998, pelos ex-jogadores de futebol Raí e Leonardo, com o objetivo dar outra perspectiva de vida para crianças e jovens de comunidades socialmente vulneráveis. Reconhecida em 2001 pela UNESCO como instituição modelo, a Gol de Letra baseia sua atuação em programas de Educação Integral, com atividades de Esporte, Lazer, Cultura e Empregabilidade, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento pessoal, social, cultural e educacional, além de promover a participação das famílias e o fortalecimento das comunidades onde atua. “Nossa missão é promover a educação integral de crianças, adolescentes e jovens por meio de esporte, cultura e formação para o trabalho, para que eles possam atuar com autonomia na transformação de suas realidades”, diz Raí de Oliveira, instituidor da Fundação Gol de Letra. A abordagem socioeducativa da Fundação Gol de Letra é baseada em três pilares: aprender (ampliação do repertório cultural e educacional), conviver (desenvolvimento de valores e regras de convivência) e multiplicar (formação de crianças, jovens, adolescentes e adultos como multiplicadores de conhecimentos e atitudes). A proposta possui referência na Lei Orgânica de Assistência Social (LOAS), no Programa Nacional de Assistência Social (PNAS) e no Sistema Único de Assistência Social (SUAS), que pressupõem a centralidade na família e a importância do caráter sócio-assistencial das ações, com o objetivo de desenvolver contextos de proteção social familiar, escolar e comunitária.
