Nalu Bio is a female-founded and led San Francisco-based biotech company committed to accelerating the potential of cannabinoids for the health of people and the planet. Nalu Bio is harnessing the power of chemistry and predictive AI modeling to solve the world’s top health and wellness challenges impacting 2 billion people globally, including pain, anxiety, sleep, and weight loss. Our proprietary pipeline of no-high, chemistry-derived cannabinoids for global CPG and therapeutics companies maintain the molecular identity of the plant while addressing the drawbacks, including safety, predictability, scalability, and sustainability. Nalu Bio offers minor cannabinoids and combinations with bioactives to provide effective, safe, and consistent products for food and beverage, health and wellness, and personal care. Additionally, our pipeline of therapeutic products mimics naturally occurring cannabinoids to develop new chemicalentities (NCEs). This approach aims to increase druggability, safety, and efficacy while potentially reducing side effects in some of the most in-demand medications on the market. Neurotrack’s rapid digital cognitive screening can identify patients with cognitive impairment in just 3 minutes. This tool enables clinicians—for the first time ever—to screen and monitor cognitive function as they would any other vital sign. We believe it will increase the number of annual cognitive assessments completed, open the door to meaningful early intervention, improve access to new pharmaceutical treatment options, and validate or alleviate patient concerns. By design, it fits easily within a typical primary care annual wellness visit workflow. It scores instantly and objectively, requires no specialized training to administer, and uses culturally-agnostic symbols and numbers to ensure inclusivity and remove barriers to care. In 40 seconds, a medical assistant can set a patient up to take the screening on a tablet independently in an exam room, then upload results to the EMR. Or patients can be sent a link to take the test remotely and walk in ready to discuss results. As a complement to this first-line screening, Neurotrack offers access to patient education and coaching to support a brain-healthy lifestyle. Neurotrack has published 23 peer-reviewed papers and its solutions have been recognized by leading organizations including the Cleveland Clinic and the National Institute on Aging. Working with providers, health systems and employer partners, Neurotrack has enabled more than 170,000 cognitive assessments on its platform. In February 2023, Neurotrack was named winner of the Alzheimer’s Association Pitch Competition, aimed at identifying innovations to increase cognitive assessment and early detection and diagnosis of dementia within primary care settings. The company has raised a total of $57 million in funding to support and accelerate its go-to-market push with major health systems and providers.
