We are here to accelerate regenerative food systems as a means to restore human and planetary health. Why? Because industrialized agriculture practices used in conventional farming have coincided with the explosion of chronic disease, ecosystem collapse, and biodiversity loss. Our value is intersectional, and antiracist. We proactively engage underserved communities and build bridges between community rights, food security, social justice, and environmentalism. Our approach is scalable. We are engineering the tools, business models, policies, and incentives to scale rregeneration globally. Farmer's Footprint is a program of Project*Biome, a non-profit organization under IRS Code Section 501(c)(3) with an EIN of 83-3364077 Support a regenerative future today!

Full Cycle Bioplastics tackles plastic pollution and climate change by transforming organic matter into a compostable alternative to oil-based plastics. Plastic pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from organic waste are two of the most critical environmental challenges facing the planet. Virtually all plastic ever produced still exists, and almost one-third of plastic consumed each year directly pollutes our land, oceans, and food chain. Organic waste is the third largest man-made generator of greenhouse gas emissions and a major contributor to climate change and global warming. Full Cycle’s Polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) bioplastic can be the answer to these problems. Full Cycle PHA is produced naturally by bacteria using mixed organic waste as raw material. It can replace a wide range of synthetic plastics, yet it is compostable and marine-degradable once its useful life is over. It is also cost-competitive with oil-based alternatives, creating the potential for widespread adoption and scale in both developed and emerging markets. Full Cycle licenses its technology to a variety of implementation partners – agriculture producers, food/beverage processors, composters and landfills, biorefineries, and even large campus environments. By co-locating on partner sites, Full Cycle can efficiently leverage existing infrastructure to reduce capital and operational costs. Licensed partners share in the profit from the sale of bioplastic resin and benefit by eliminating waste disposal costs, reducing their carbon footprint, and establishing a reputation as an industry leader in closed-loop sustainability. The Full Cycle solution mitigates greenhouse gas emissions, reduces plastic pollution and toxicity effects on land and in the ocean, and sustainably moves the economy towards Circularity. ESSO collaborates with family offices, corporates, and fund platforms to co-create portfolio strategies ready to meet the complexities of emerging food and agriculture systems. We bolster our strategies by dropping in with executive teams to bridge structural gaps, limit risk exposure, and unlock new value streams--ensuring catalytic capital accelerates systemic transformation. Esso is a systemic integrator, not just an investor or advisor. We are not just moving capital; we are reconfiguring how capital relates to the real economy—aligning investors with regenerative entrepreneurs, producers, and enterprises in ways that shift market norms. Our work is not about replacing the current system but reorienting it. We don’t need to “disrupt” everything; rather, we need to guide existing capital, enterprises, and infrastructure toward self-sustaining regenerative models. We balance radical ambition with pragmatic action. The risk is getting caught in visionary abstraction rather than delivering tangible financial vehicles, advisory models, and market-based solutions that accelerate change.

Fifth Season Ventures is no longer active. Plastic pollution is a challenging area for impact investors, because the investments are difficult to source, value and understand. Fifth Season Ventures is building a comprehensive venture portfolio of solutions by investing in new technologies that create a circular economy supply chain. This approach unlocks an investment theme for investors concerned with plastic pollution and can produce substantive results with a speed and scale unachievable through philanthropy or other asset classes. We are a small team of seasoned startup executives and investors who understand the problem, the solution, and are focused on identifying successful entrepreneurs. Fifth Season Ventures is a proud signatory of The Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s New Plastics Economy Global Commitment to eliminate plastic pollution at the source & a member of the Plastic Pollution Coalition.
