Syddansk Innovation A/S is a pre-seed venture capital investor in Denmark. We are one of the four approved innovation incubators, which invests on behalf of the Danish state, and therefore we are subject to the Danish Law of Technology and Innovation. SDI helps and assists entrepreneurs in an early stage of their projects, with the purpose to commercialize their business idea, and to attract new investors. We are active in a broad range of technologies which includes: · ICT & Big Data · Industry & Cleantech · Life Science & Wellfaretech SDI has departments in Odense, Copenhagen and Sønderborg, and has developed an extensive knowledge and network within the local areas, which is in favor of the entrepreneurs. Our innovation investments are primarily directed to entrepreneurs who originate from science- and educational institutes, competence clusters, or the business community.

The Innovation Fund Denmark invests in the development and marketing of knowledge, new technologies and products with the purpose of finding solutions to societal challenges, support business opportunities and strengthen growth, employment and welfare. With the establishment of the Innovation Fund April 1 2014 the Danish research and innovation system was significantly simplified. The Foundation will be offering grants for activities within strategic research, technology and innovation. The budget of the Foundation is close to DKK 1.6 billion in 2014. The Innovation Fund Denmark will contribute to stronger coherency across research, technological development and innovation, including community partnerships focused on product development and innovation.

MedTrace is striving to minimize diagnostic uncertainty through better perfusion imaging. Perfusion imaging provides medical professionals with a functional understanding of the organs blood supply inside the patient. MedTrace is developing a solution that will help healthcare providers diagnose patients more accurately and quickly. Our solution allows for absolute blood flow quantification based upon the PET tracer 15O-water, which has long been acknowledged as the gold standard tracer for non-invasive blood flow quantification. Our innovative solution is intended to making 15O-water practically available right next to the PET scanner connected to an onsite cyclotron, with a software package to quantify the myocardial blood flow and perfusion. IMPORTANT NOTICE: MedTrace’s products are not currently cleared for routine use in any markets, including both the US and Europe. In the US, 15O-water is currently under investigation as an investigational drug in a Phase 3 clinical trial. In Europe, its use is in compliance with approvals granted by national drug authorities, in accordance with the specific legislation of each member state.
