With its roots in 1913, the Erasmus Trustfonds is as old as the Erasmus University itself. Our trust fund is the legal successor of the association that founded the Nederlandsche Handels-Hoogeschool, which is now known as Erasmus University Rotterdam. In our shared history of over a century, we have always supported the flourishing of the EUR and its research, staff and students. We fund significant academic projects, support students throughout their academic studies and contribute through these activities to the city of Rotterdam. Our most important change in recent years has been in 2016, when the Vereniging Trustfonds Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam was split up into a foundation (Stichting Erasmus Trustfonds) and an association (Vereniging Erasmus Trustfonds). This allowed us to separate our activities as an association and a foundation: the acquisition and management of assets and the allocation of benefits.
