GOC is backed by a diverse group of investors, including CEOs, entrepreneurs and institutional investors. ​ GOC also has an angel investment arm that invests in cutting-edge technologies that help accelerate the optimization of its’ portfolio companies. ​ The firm was founded by Austin Smoak who spearheads acquisitions and asset management, alongside his advisors and equity partners. Austin began his career within Goldman Sachs’ Merchant Banking Division focusing primarily on the asset management of debt & equity investments held by the firm. He holds a B.A. in Economics from St. John’s University and a Graduate Certificate from Emory University.
