By investing in people in financially under-resourced communities, amplifying stories of their true lived experiences and rallying together in support of strength-based* policies and practices, we can promote systems change. America's Black Holocaust Museum is a program of the Dr. James Cameron Legacy Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. ABHM builds public awareness of the harmful legacies of slavery and Jim Crow in America and promotes racial repair, reconciliation, and healing. We envision a society that remembers its past in order to shape a better future – a nation undivided by race where every person matters equally.

Chicago Legal Advocacy for Incarcerated Mothers (CLAIM) is a not-for-profit agency founded in 1985 to help women prisoners and their children maintain contact. Chicago Legal Advocacy for Incarcerated Mothers provides legal and educational services to maintain the bonds between imprisoned mothers and their children. CLAIM advocates for policies and programs that benefit families of imprisoned mothers and reduce incarceration of women and girls. Vision CLAIMs vision for the future is one in which the cycle of intergenerational incarceration has been broken and womens incarceration is minimal to the extent it exists at all. CLAIM envisions a day when social policy is humane, just, and women shape the policies that affect them and their families.
