York Angel Investors is a non-profit group of accredited investors with a broad range of professional experience. Our individual and group focus is to create a return on investment for ourselves and the businesses we work with. Our portfolio companies benefit from our member expertise in information technology, telecommunications, internet; online applications, enterprise and SaaS software, retail and pharmaceutical. Our collaborative mentorship approach and strategic financing supports entrepreneurs through various stages of early growth. Our investments often represent the bridge between the self-financed or seed stage and the venture capital and/or private equity level of funding. York Angels work collaboratively with other angel groups throughout the country, as well as regional and national venture capital firms. Traditionally, angel investments range from $150,000 to $1.0 million.

Since 1999 we have been hosting monthly angel investment meetings where 10+ early stage companies present their business and investment opportunity to an audience of angel investors. We are often the first investor community where startups pitch. We offer entrepreneurs a 90 second preview pitch and the chance to give a full presentation based on investor interest. We introduce all investment opportunity pitches to our network of angel investors across BC in our free monthly angel investing newsletter.
