We are a group of senior scientists and engineers from the likes of Google, New York University, Stanford and more. We are dedicated to enabling advances in biomedical research and practice with AI and NLP. HBS Alumni Angels of Greater New York is the largest angel group in NY with 350+ angel investors and growing. Our members have invested $31+ million across 137+ exciting early stage companies. This is an alumni-run presence and is not managed by Harvard Business School (HBS). We meet monthly to hear pitches in person from the best entrepreneurs. On average, we invest in 1-2 companies per month a few weeks after they pitch and our members complete their assessment. Our angel investor members are Harvard Business School and other Harvard University alumni who invest on an individual basis. NO AFFILIATION to Harvard is required to pitch.

New York Angels is a member-led organization committed to finding, funding and mentoring great young companies from pitch through successful exit. Our 120+ members are entrepreneurs, CEOs, venture capitalists and business leaders who have founded, funded and built world-class companies. We come from a wide array of industry backgrounds and together create an extensive network of entrepreneurial support. We mentor and coach the entrepreneurs in whom we invest, serve on their boards, provide contacts and assist with team building, strategic planning and fundraising. The mission of New York Angels is to foster an engaged and smart New York City angel investment environment in an effort to enhance the opportunities for entrepreneurs to be financed and succeed through exit. We provide opportunities for our members to obtain outstanding financial returns by investing in early-stage companies and accelerating them to market leadership. We lead and participate in investments ranging from $100,000–$2,000,000, and have a large network of angel groups and venture capital firms with whom we syndicate to do rounds up to $3 million. New York Angels has been the leading seed investment organization in NYC since 2004, with members investing over $112 million into more than 270 exciting startup companies. Through their participation in New York Angels, members were the first investors in such startups as Pinterest and Comixology, and portfolio companies have been acquired by Google, Intel, CBS, Living Social and others.

The New York New Media Association (NYNMA) was a not-for-profit industry association founded in 1994 to support and promote the new media industry in the New York metro area. At its height, NYNMA's membership soared to nearly 8,000 individuals representing 2,500 companies with members drawn from the entire business spectrum. In 1997, the organization facilitated the creation of an Angel Investor Program to match promising entrepreneurs with experienced Angel Investors. By the time the Internet boom peaked, the NYNMA Angel Investors Program had provided more than $10 million in seed funding for over 30 new media companies, including content, hardware, software, and ASP models. The NYNMA Angel Investors Program eventually became New York Angels.
