GitLife Biotech has launched www.CellRepo.com, the version control system for synthetic biology, alongside a suite of DNA-based biosecurity tools. Our technologies enable reproducibility and proof of ownership, facilitating scale in synthetic biology.
To tie the VCS to the engineered asset we must mark the genome of the biological asset itself.
To do so we have developed DNA barcodes to an unprecedented level of sophistication: creating biosecurity tools with varying levels of confidentiality and indelibility.
Our protocols cover 90% of the strains used in engineering biology and we are developing more all the time.

Atelerix has a transformative technology for the storage and transport of viable cells at room temperature, overcoming the barriers and limitations presented by the current need for cryo-shipping.
We use alginate hydrogels to encapsulate biological products, protecting them from biochemical and physical damage during storage and shipment. We can hold cells and tissues at room temperature for up to two weeks, effectively placing them into a state of hibernation - just like the African pygmy hedgehog, genus Atelerix!

Researchers around the world are looking at better ways to diagnose and treat rare cancers.
Today there are 740 global life sciences companies investing in 950 products that include a rare cancer target. This translates into an accelerating number of clinical trials taking place, all requiring access to consenting patients, secure data, and bio-samples. If not readily available to researchers, desperately needed progress in this area becomes at-risk.
