In Ovo combines animal welfare and efficiency by offering biotechnological solutions to the poultry industry. We currently focus on a long existing problem in hatcheries: The culling of one day old male chickens. Our solution, a gender screening in the first half of the breeding process, has several advantages. It prevents a lot of stress the chickens experience during the current manual gender sorting process, it reduces the energy consumption and CO2 emission of the hatchery and prevents the need to kill one day old chickens. This way, we make hatcheries more animal friendly and sustainable, and increase the efficiency at the same time.

ELICIT PLANT is an AGtech company and a pioneer in the stimulation of field-grown plants through the use of phytosterols. By reducing plant water stress, our patented technology increases yield in situation of lack of water. Elicit Plant develops and provides new effective prevention products against the stress suffered by plants grown by the intake of exogenous phytosterols in the field. Elicit Plant offers a novel solution for reducing water consumption for the cultivation of targeted plants and helps to fight against water stress. Elicit Plants develops a methodology to collect soil, plant development and climate data to quantify the results obtained under real-life conditions.

Trapview is a pest insect monitoring and forecasting platform developed by a Slovenian company EFOS. Automated electronic traps enable efficient, nearly maintenance-free monitoring of pest insects. Advanced artificial intelligence-based processing of trap data assists customers in getting an accurate and real-time understanding of pest population dynamics as well as a forecast of pest development stages in a specific area. This positions Trapview as a crucial decision-support tool for planning field activities and for optimal usage of crop protection.
