Geotagg is a start-up by IIT Madras graduates, focused on providing solutions in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems. We are located at IIT Madras Research Park and our company is actively supported by the professors at the Transportation Engineering Department of IIT Madras. Geotagg offers a suite of products for Advanced Passenger Information Systems deployed across the Web, Mobile, and Kiosk etc. platforms. While such systems are in place in the developed western cities, the central idea and the USP of our suite are the algorithms and filter modules. Our applications are specifically developed for the heterogeneous traffic scenarios, which are very different from those in the western countries. Geotaggs GPS based Public Information Systems solution for buses is specifically developed for the dynamic Indian traffic conditions and has been tested to perform with unmatched accuracy. Our core technology addresses several issues specific to urban traffic scenarios such as peak-hour traffic jams, vehicles overtaking, vehicles going detour, etc. Our current work involves developing e-Ticketing application/modules, Fleet Management Systems, Crew Management Systems, Route Optimization Systems, and Traffic Density Mapping Systems. We have also implemented a fully automated application for tracking the IIT Madras campus buses over Web, Mobile and Kiosk.
