HealthTech Capital is a group of private investors dedicated to funding and mentoring new “HealthTech” start ups at the intersection of healthcare and the computer/consumer electronic world.
Our goal is to invest and mentor capital efficient companies that use new scalable business model to improve the efficiency of healthcare delivery from the hospital to the home.
HealthTech is now an exploding healthcare market that leverages information technologies to decrease healthcare cost. Historically, venture funding has focused on “Efficacy” (therapeutics drugs and medical devices) and paid little attention to improving “Efficiencies” of healthcare delivery. Today, new paradigm shifting companies like Google, Microsoft, Intel, Apple, Amazon and others are turning their attention to HealthTech.
HealthTech supports patient-centric healthcare and is distinct from Healthcare IT, enterprise backbone legacy information systems that are well served by existing major players. Our goal is to invest in capital efficient companies that use new business models to improve the efficiency of healthcare delivery.

The Clearity Foundation was launched in 2008 to help ovarian cancer patients and their physicians make better-informed treatment decisions, based on molecular profiling of tumors.
The Clearity team includes scientists, physicians, and volunteers who feel passionately that the paradigm for ovarian cancer treatment needs to change from a trial-and-error approach to one that that individualizes therapy selection based on each patient’s tumor molecular profile.
What We Do
The Clearity Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that provides patient support services including lab test coordination, tumor blueprint interpretation, and clinical trial identification free of charge.
Our services and educational programs are focused on:
Assisting patients and physicians prioritize therapy options for recurrent and refractory ovarian cancer by providing information about the tumor molecular profile;
Helping patients find clinical trials for which they may be eligible, based on the molecular characteristics of their tumor;
Educating patients and physicians about the value of molecular profiling in ovarian cancer diagnosis and treatment; and
Expediting the clinical development of novel targeted agents for ovarian cancer by creating a database that correlates tumor molecular profiles with treatment outcomes.

Throughout its twenty years, Astia has paved the way for investors to align human values with investment rigor.
Understanding the fundamentals of change, Astia has built an institution to last. Through a variety of investment vehicles, Astia enables investment at all stages of private company growth.
With an acute understanding of the unique challenges of high-growth, Astia ensures portfolio success. We are entrepreneur-centric and hands-on.
By investing with Astia, Limited Partners expand their legacy of impact.
Founded by tech pioneer Catherine Muther in 1998, Astia has never wavered from its fundamental commitment to level the investment playing field. Still today, less than 10 percent of VC investments are made into companies that include even one woman leader.
We believe in investment as a force for change.
