In 2009, the company Dentalpoint presented a two-part implant system made of white high-performance ceramic, with strong evidence, particularly in regards to the aesthetics and safety of the implants. Due to the anchoring of a two-piece system, the implant is initially hidden and can heal in the jawbone. After this, the prosthetic structures, abutment and crown, are applied. The two-part design is also a requirement for a flexible restoration with a lot of freedom. Another innovative feature is the material: "Zeramex is made of zirconia, and this material is very similar to that of the natural tooth root". It is with good reason that experts like to call this material "white diamonds". Another crucial factor is the aesthetical effect.
As the product Zeramex was growing, the company Dentalpoint was growing as well. The number of employees gradually increased. In 2013, the distribution center for the markets in the European Union was founded in Lörrach, close to the border with Switzerland. Following the motto "stagnation means regression," the brand Zeramex continued to expand in the following years. The Zeramex implants are manufactured by Dentalpoint in Switzerland, in cooperation with certified partners.
