Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, founded in 1953, is focused on preparing our students for success in an increasingly competitive legal market.
Guided by our “Where Law Meets Business” philosophy, we reimagined our legal education to prepare our students with the academic, professional, and practical skills coveted by employers. Our students have the opportunity to get hands-on experience tailored to career interests through six in-house clinics and 200+ externship opportunities.

Villanova Law offers a rigorous and innovative curriculum. In addition to the traditional JD program, we also boast several dual degree programs including the JD/LL.M. in International Studies, JD/MBA, JD/MPA and JD/LL.M. in Taxation.
With over 40 student organizations, Villanova Law students are campus and community leaders, organizing scholarly lectures, multicultural programs, and public service opportunities. Our faculty is composed of internationally-renowned scholars, dedicated educators and successful practitioners. After graduation, students join nearly 11,000 alumni as part of the Villanova Law Alumni Association.
