We are passionate about creating smarter bio-material technology for a better world. Who we are: ViaeX is a seed funded Bay Area start-up with a mission to deliver high performance, sustainable materials designed to make the world better for generations to come. We have created a platform that currently utilizes Chitosan, an abundant biowaste that has been shown to have enormous potential by researchers in leading universities across the world. The algorithms and chemistries that we have developed enable us to make targeted changes to the polymeric chemistry of Chitosan and create novel material that is optimized for various applications. For example, we are able to enhance the natural antimicrobial properties of Chitosan for water purification. Our materials can be programmed to selectively remove contaminants for applications in industrial separation to air purification. Through this approach of starting with biowaste as a base material to create biomaterial optimized for target applications, ViaeX intends to change the way manufacturers approach product development. We believe that this will reduce pressure on our natural resources and make the world a better place for future generations.
