Currently, the way in which healthcare is organized worldwide prevents stakeholders from focusing on the things that really matter, namely creating maximum value for patients. This year, together with five young physicians, I started the Value in Care Foundation. We see the Value Based Healthcare (VBHC) concept as the future of how healthcare should be organized. Our goal is to spread this message.
By creating a platform that brings VBHC-minded organizations together and by organizing masterclasses we aim to inspire, excite and connect (young) care professionals to the VBHC world. Together with strong investors and persuasive speakers we will put VBHC on the map in the Netherlands. After our first masterclass in February 2017 the Netherlands has set another step in the direction of value-driven care.
