There are 6 Billion smartphones in the world today. ToothPic turns each one of them into a unique unclonable digital credential by using the unique feature of the smartphones camera sensor. ToothPic, an Italian cybersecurity company - University spinoff of Politecnico of Torino, is the first and only passwordless smartphone-based authentication solution that, by using the unique features of the device’s camera sensor, makes digital identity unclonable and guarantees an extreme level of security during the access process. Our uniqueness is recognized and protected all over by 4 internal patents. ToothPic is the only technology that secures the MFA process by encrypting keys on smartphones through a secret extracted from a hardware characteristic of the device itself: the unique and unclonable pattern of manufacturing imperfections of camera sensors - a feature that makes every smartphone unique. With this technology, the private key is never exposed and stored in the devices memory. In this way, the key is protected from malware. Even if the entire content of a device were cloned, the cloned credential would be unusable as the destination device has a camera sensor different from that of the original device that generated that credential. ToothPic raised 1.6M€ in funding between 2018 and 2023
