The YX Foundation is a coalition dedicated to community engagement at the intersection of deep technology and critical race theory. We are students, activists, academics, educators, engineers, entrepreneurs, and creatives together in the fight for intersectional justice.
YX seeks to facilitate collaboration between experts in AI/ML and thought leaders in critical race theory, while engaging students, with the aim of creating future-oriented solutions to three structural inequalities that result in injustices for communities of color: policing, mass incarceration, and the criminal justice system. We envision decolonial and abolitionist futures where technology ensures racial justice, promotes grassroots advocacy, and enhances our ability to tackle complex socio-political challenges. To achieve this, we must be radical and imaginative in designing products that manifest the future we call for.
