Tech Ready Women Academy’s global mission is to provide women with tech and business education, access to world-class mentors, connections to startup communities and enabling them to create the businesses of tomorrow. We have created a centralized destination to help female entrepreneurs build successful startups by providing tech & business training, access to empowering and inspiring events & connection to startup communities. We are a global movement making it easier for women to create and grow businesses in the digital economy. We help you get there through: Upskilling, Mentorship, Community, and Pitch Events The academy's mission is to inspire, empower and prepare non-tech females for their tech journey so they have the skills and know-how to create tech businesses and innovative products. Currently, only 22% of tech startups have a female founder or co-founder while only 25% of IT positions are taken up by women. Deloitte believes there may be fewer women in IT today than there were in 2015. Tech Ready believes it’s not for lack of ideas but lack of support and access to knowledge in a safe, open and supportive environment. Tech Ready is built on four key pillars; community, mentoring, skills/education, and investment. In essence it’s creating a group of like-minded females with an interest in technology and business, providing the right experts to help foster their ideas, bringing in professionals who will teach them technology and business skills and then empowering them with the ability to build a MVP (minimum viable product), pitch it and find investment. Tech Ready was created by leading female entrepreneur, Christie Whitehill, as a result of her own experience as a female founder building multiple technology platforms.
