Firm specialized in alternative financing for troubled SMEs – we provide swift and innovative financial solutions. Solas Finance will work with its clients, including borrowers and lenders, to come up with creative financial solutions for troubled situations. Based on the preferences of its clients, Solas Finance is open to structuring transactions either as debt originations or debt acquisitions. In the case of debt originations (i.e., turnaround, bridge or structured financing), funds will be made available directly to the borrower. In the case of debt acquisitions, Solas Finance will purchase the debt from existing lenders thereby providing an alternative exit strategy for the resolution of problem loans. WHERE WE INTERVENE • 60 day notice, fatigued lender • Notice of proposal to creditors – pre-packaged bankruptcy • Proposal to creditors • DIP financing BORROWER PROFILE • Insolvent – over-indebted • Temporarily in financial trouble, but with a profitable track record • Viable after financial restructuring • Asset rich but cash poor FINANCING • $1-7mm per investment (more for portfolios) • 6 months – 3 years • Collateral : real estate, accounts receivable, equipment, inventory PURCHASE OF CLAIMS AT A DISCOUNT • Purchase of single loans and loan portfolios • Mortgage loans and Commercial loans • Loans partially or totally provisioned SWIFT EXECUTION • Letter Of Intent typically within a week of receiving the necessary information • Due diligence only once a binding agreement is signed • Solas team are seasoned lenders with significant experience and provide efficient and creative financing solutions in turnaround situations SOLAS FINANCE WORKS WITH: • Accounting firms and trustees • Lenders • Borrowers • Law firms • Brokers
