SMASH provides an intensive and holistic STEM-focused education to dedicated students of color who seek equal access to college and career readiness resources.
Our mission is to build a strong, diverse and socially conscious tech workforce by leveling the playing field through academic learning and experiential engagement for high school and college students.
SMASH’s two leading programs are:
- SMASH Academy, our flagship program, provides high school students across the nation with a tuition-free, residential educational experience for each of their three summers during high school. With programs at 10 campuses, SMASH Academy works to ensure that Scholars have the STEM knowledge and problem-solving skills needed to succeed in college and beyond.
- SMASH Rising provides Academy alumni with early workplace exposure through STEM-focused summer experiences at leading institutions. Working in teams, SMASH Rising gives Scholars the opportunity to use their knowledge and experience to tackle real-world issues.
