Serious is a Social Enterprise with a simple mission: change where people are spending their money, to create a better world. We create sustainable products that match current market leaders on quality and price but have positive environmental and social impact. Our range of products includes Serious Tissues which is the UKs first carbon-neutral toilet paper. It is made in the UK from 100% recycled paper with zero plastic AND we plant a tree for every roll sold. In the last year, we have planted over 500,000 trees and are currently planting the equivalent of 5 Hyde Parks every single week. This shows how a huge impact can be made through a very small change. As well as the environmental impact, we are empowering local communities where the trees are planted and have created 23+ years of employment so far in ten countries across the world. Our UK tree planting starts in November as part of the Queens Jubilee Canopy. Project Ten Million Ten Million trees are flushed down the toilet every year globally. In our eyes, this is ten million too many. Project Ten Million brings together a consortium of corporates and organisations who by making the simple switch to Serious Tissues will help us plant Ten Million Trees We also have a range of Serious Soaps that are certified plastic negative products. We recover 1kg of ocean bound plastic per pack sold. This is the equivalent of fifty 500ml bottles or 500 crisp packets and were already starting to see a major impact here. Serious is brought to you by the same team that created Change Please, a coffee business that helps the homeless by giving them an opportunity to train as a barista.
