Safar Art is a journey between capital and culture, between Abu Dhabi as the capital of capital and the UAE as a rising capital of Global South art.
We are building a curated collection and a community of investor collectors focused on artists from the Arab world, Africa and South Asia whose work is already flowing through the galleries and museums of the Emirates. Our focus is simple. Buy carefully, hold patiently, build reputations, and let value follow visibility.
Safar Art is being developed as an ADGM based art investment platform in formation, working with experienced partners from both the investment world and the cultural ecosystem. We look at art through a full return lens. Financial return through disciplined acquisition and resale. Social and cultural return through salons, briefings and collector journeys. Reputational return through association with serious, high integrity collecting and a thoughtful Global South narrative.
We acquire works exclusively from within the UAE market. This keeps logistics efficient and root the collection in the real life ecosystem of fairs, galleries and institutions that are already turning Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE into the natural home for Global South art.
Around the collection we build a club. Studio visits, gallery walks, Abu Dhabi Art and Art Dubai programmes, and international trips to biennales and fairs. Some of our members come for returns, some for relationships, some for the simple pleasure of standing in front of a work that they helped bring into the light.
