QREAN is a health-tech startup dedicated to modernizing how medicinal information is delivered, accessed, and experienced.
Our mission is to enable the gradual removal of traditional Patient Information Leaflets (PILs) from medicinal packaging and replace them with a fully digital, compliant, content-rich, and user-centric solution: the Unified Medication Interface (UMI).
UMI is an electronic interface designed to deliver verified, up-to-date medicinal information directly to mobile phones and digital devices. It improves accessibility for patients while supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals with reliable, current content.
We officially unveiled and promoted our solution at Pharmapack 2026 in Paris, engaging with pharmaceutical manufacturers, regulators, and technology partners who share our vision for a smarter and more sustainable future for medicines.
By shifting from paper to digital, QREAN enables:
• Enhanced user experience through interactive, multilingual, and accessible content beyond traditional ePI
• Support for adherence management
• Improved safety and regulatory compliance through real-time updates and version control
• Environmental benefits through reduced paper waste and packaging materials
• Lower production and logistics costs via simplified packaging and faster update cycles
• The ability to detect and manage counterfeiting risks at the point of care and across the supply chain
Our broader aim is to promote better ways of bringing medicines to consumers in a digital-first world—without compromising safety, regulation, or trust.
Japan has already demonstrated that this transition is achievable. Between 2019 and 2024, regulatory reform and industry collaboration enabled the large-scale adoption of electronic medicinal information systems. With the right commitment from regulators, industry, and stakeholders, Europe could reach a similar level of maturity by 2028–2029.
We believe this change is not only possible—it is necessary.
