We invest in climate tech start-ups. Not just money, but also practical advice and assistance, for example to get a solid business plan in preparation of the next funding round. We have done this for startups with innovative clean energy production (Oceans of Energy, Renaissance Fusion), battery technologies (LeydenJar, Eexion, Delft IMP), e-mobility (Tiler), green chemicals (H2Pro) and precision fermentation (Brevel). Each of these has the potential to disrupt their industry when scaled up. Back in the days, at high school, I was fascinated by nuclear fusion, the ultimate clean energy source of the future. It was the reason I studied physics, and joined Shell, as I expected Shell to make a transition to clean energy sources. When that didn't happen, I left to pursue some startup ventures.
