Province Brands of Canada is a beverage technology & branded products company. Our IP and technologies have applications across the alcohol industry, the cannabis industry and the functional beverage industry. We are doing something thats never been done in the history of beer. The first beers were brewed in the Zagros Mountains ~5,000 years ago. Today the beer is a $500 billion business, accounting for 1/3 of all alcohol sales. Despite countless innovations beer has always been brewed from grains (or at least some kind of starch). Province Brands of Canada has created technology to brew beers from non-starch plant material (wood, shrub or grass). Weve been using that technology to create first true alternative to alcohol: non-alcoholic beers which are brewed from cannabis and intoxicate using marijuana or its phytocannabinoids. Our technology changes the way the world thinks of beer. It allows for a further explosion in growth in the alcohol industry, where brewers can bring down costs, and brew beers with flavors never before seen. Province Brands is preparing to bring to market a diverse portfolio of premium alcohol-free fermented cannabis beverages. These products will stand apart from the infused beverages – as it is actually brewed from the cannabis plant. Beverages brewed, using this technology, are low in calories, gluten free and rich in plant phenols, plant sterols, xylooligomers and other desirable compounds. Alcohol-free variants represent a substantial disruption to the sports / nutrition functional beverage market. Our mission is to transform adult beverages. From reducing waste, to creating healthier, more sustainable, gluten-free functional brewed beverages, to creating the first ever true alternative to alcohol – premium fermented beverages brewed from cannabis that convey many of the benefits of alcohol without so many of the harms.
