Project AgeTuneUp

📍 Somerville, United States🗓 Founded 2015
Project AgeTuneUp is making the future of DNA Repair drugs accessible to the masses. Based on research out of Harvard Medical School, and supported by the entrepreneurship community of MIT Sandbox, were taking naturally-occurring compounds that have been demonstrated to repair DNA in mice, and making them affordable enough for human use. Our first molecule is nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN). Not only has molecule been demonstrated to be useful in mouse models of cardiac disease, but it could potentially be used to reduce the effects of radiation exposure in cancer patients (and someday, Astronauts). By using advances in machine learning such as genetic algorithms and symbolic regression, were reducing the cost of this molecule from $1000/gram, to $10/gram. More information coming in Q3 2017.
