Pro Natura International (PNI) was created in 1985 by his founder Marcelo de Andrade, who has dedicated the largest part of his life to the implementation of projects capable of generating shared value among people.
His vision is a paths where wealth is generated by valuing people, valuing nature and its elements; a path where the systemic and complex relationship between people and the environment around us is taken into account.
PNI has been addressing the social, economic and environmental challenges facing rural communities in the underdeveloped world for over 35 years. Marcelo was joined in mid 90s by Guy Reinaud, an experienced business leader and together they successfully implemented projects in over 60 countries.
PNI uses a systemic innovative approach based on three synergetic pillars (financial and operational engineering, technology and communication), together applied at the base of the pyramid, at most vulnerable communities.
