What does that look like?
Well, it started with a YouTube channel from Cathy Yoder, founder of @EmpoweredCooks. Cathy wanted to prove that air fryers could do more than reheat frozen foods and leftovers. So, she documented the journey on YouTube. Now, just a couple of years later, her channel draws thousands of daily visitors, attracts sponsors, and nets significant affiliate revenue.
More importantly, she empowers people to dust off their air fryers and start using them to make simple, delicious meals in minutes.
But the journey didnt end there. Within a few months, Cathys YouTube audience wanted a cookbook. Scared to create a physical cookbook that might not sell, she and her business partner, BJ Wright, plus some other dedicated team members, made a PDF cookbook that customers could purchase online and download immediately. That satisfied some customers but not all. The team answered the call as chants for a physical cookbook grew louder. The books sold out almost immediately when they launched a presale to sell 500 cookbooks. So, the team upped the order. Now, just a couple of years later, Cathy has sold over 20K cookbooks--with recent expansion into courses, memberships, and an International audience.
Pine & Pepper now includes a growing list of kitchen tools and accessories that empower everyday cooks because Cathy doesnt like cooking. Shes no chef and bristles when people use "cullinary" to describe her creations. No. She wanted simple, durable, and helpful tools that people who dont LOVE to cook will LOVE using.
