Beginning as a global forum within the business college in 1989, the SIBC has become the largest student-run organization on campus, with nearly 3,000 members from the University of Notre Dame, Holy Cross College and St. Mary’s College. The Council offers its members a variety of opportunities based on their interests, including over 60 academic projects each semester across the Councils five functional divisions: Accounting, Consulting, Finance, Marketing, and STEM. SIBC has also partnered with international universities – including Chinas Peking University, Brazils Unicamp, and Englands University of Oxford – to provide valuable international opportunities for members and frequently sponsors members to participate in summer internships around the globe.
