Established in 2012, the Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard Foundation is a privately funded 501(c)(3) that was founded by a group of former Junior Lifeguard instructors with encouragement from the City of Newport Beach. The mission of the NBJG Foundation is to help the City of Newport Beach preserve, complement, and enhance the Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard Program. We support the effective training and education of ocean safety, coastal knowledge, first aide, friendly competition, and camaraderie that the NBJG program provides to local youth.
