📍 Cambridge, United States🗓 Founded 2016👥 17 employees
designX is a platform to accelerate innovation in design, cities, and the human environment at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) School of Architecture and Planning (SA+P). Its goal is to develop and launch new design products, technologies, and ventures by combining the creative energy of MIT students and faculty with the talents of industry and the public sector. designX is designed to help students grow their ventures at any stage of development and foster collaborations across the breadth of the school and MIT. The program is a unique initiative that involves academic courses, data-informed research, and an entrepreneurship program, built around the first student-faculty venture accelerator housed within a design school. Our members work with innovation teams and collaborate in research projects, design workshops, and events to engage the wicked problems and unprecedented opportunities now facing design for the built environment.
