We believe that the future of urban transportation lies in an efficient enforcement of intermodality and interoperability principles, motivating capacity sharing between the transportation players, be it public or private transportation operators.
Mileus addresses the prime cause of people using low-capacity vehicles (especially their private cars), which is the lack of comfort related to public transportation.
Mileus is a digital platform enabling real-time planning and automated interoperability between public transportation and taxi / ride-hailing transportation services. Our initial focus is to make citizens'ā evening commute back home more comfortable and guaranteed so that they leave their cars at home in the morning.
We help to create new markets for car-pooling, ride-sharing or ride-hailing in locations that are further away from the urban centers. These locations have been difficult for taxi / ride-hailing operators to effectively provide with reasonable service availability and efficient vehicle utilization. As a result of integrating Mileus technology, the low vehicle occupancy means of transportation are reallocated to outer parts of the city, substantially easing the congestion levels in city centers.
Simultaneously, citizens are motivated to keep using backbone mass public transportation modes for getting out of urban centers faster while having their last mile covered by a more comfortable taxi / ride-hailing transportation means.
