The Masters’ Union Investment Fund (MUIF) is one of India’s first-ever student-managed fund with an initial corpus of INR 5 crore. MUIF is governed and run by the students of Masters’ Union, Gurugram (MU). The fund is formed as per the processes defined in this Charter and comprises a group of individuals, with strong backgrounds in Finance, Investing, Credit Research, Operations, Law, and Analytics.
MUIF offers students real-world experience in investment analysis and portfolio management to promote leadership, decision making and enhance their ability to drive sustainable solutions in the field of finance and investments throughout their careers.
The aim of the fund, which comprises of student Investment Managers is to generate maximum returns for the MUIF by investing in various asset classes such as Equity, Debt Instruments, Derivatives, Futures & Options, FX currencies, Crypto-currencies, Real Estate, Commodities, and Start-Ups. The philosophy of the fund is to generate optimum returns through a diversified portfolio, keeping all the factors like liquidity, time horizon, risk tolerance, etc; at an acceptable level as defined in the Investment Policy Statement of MUIF.
