MakingParks is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to purchase private land, converting it to public park space across the United States. MakingParks will work with local communities to find out the type of public space is most desired. Revenue will come from crowdfunding, traditional fundraising and grants. Many studies have been conducted that prove living near public space + parks can increase happiness. In addition to preserving land, we want to bring more smiles to people.
