To prevent food waste, many cake professionals decorate single-use polystyrene tiers, which sit in landfill for hundreds of years, breaking down into the microplastics now found in our oceans and our bodies.
We created the BLOOMBase — the world’s first compostable cake tier that blooms into wildflowers. Made from FSC-certified, seed-embedded materials, it looks and ices just like a traditional cake tier, but after the celebration it can be planted to grow a patch of wildflowers - feeding bees and boosting biodiversity along the way.
We supply our patent-pending BLOOMbases to cake designers, caterers and event professionals, who decorate them exactly as they would any other tier - creating stunning statement cakes that leave no trace but flowers.
