Luminous Robotics, Inc. aims to become the fastest iterating robotics company in the world. Our vision is to commoditize *harsh* manual work. We design, build, and ship embodied AI robotic systems for the industrials – uniquely focused on manual use cases beyond the scope and capacity of a single human (e.g. solar construction).
Our mission is to solve one of the biggest problems of our generation – building renewable energy infrastructure at an unprecedented rate never seen before in the history of the solar industry – which is seeing labor and logistics bottlenecks jeopardizing our transition to a green, decarbonization future. As a response, we created LUMI, a robot designed from first principles to 10x the full lifecycle of solar to construct, operate, and decommission solar farms of all sizes, at a global scale.
We are a team of ex-NASA, Stanford, MIT, Harvard, Softbank Robotics, Nissan, and GE founders who have not only worked at world class companies, shipping 1000s of robots into production, but have also built, scaled, and exited multiple startups. We’ve built and shipped LUMI 001, installing its first solar farm in VA - likely on the fastest timeline for a hardware company from zero to prod (10 weeks).
