At LinkAiders, we are driven by a simple aim: to optimise disaster communication. To deliver on this, we have developed the Reachi system —a communications and information management system specifically designed for rapid need assessment and relief coordination in the aftermath of a disaster. The Reachi system consists of low-cost, resilient and wearable devices. Together, the devices create an autonomous radio mesh network that enables first responders and relief coordinators to exchange simple, but vital, information – even in situations with complete disruption of existing communications and power infrastructure.
