We are an entrepreneurial investment firm that invests in small and mid-sized businesses that we can help build and grow long term. The Lightheart legacy of entrepreneurship stretches back to the early 1900s when the six Lightheart brothers left their farm in rural Ontario to seek opportunity in the up-and-coming city of Vancouver. They would teach themselves trade-skills and develop dozens of houses and apartments, many of which are still standing after 100 years. Three generations later, we have cultivated a deep respect for the legacy, heritage and culture of every business, and when we invest we look not to disrupt, but to preserve and grow within that legacy.
