KLEOS is a Greek Liqueur made from an ancient superfood, mastiha. Mastiha (mas-tee-hah) is a PDO--Protected Designation of Origin ingredient; a resin from the skinos tree, that in the entire planet, grows in only 24 villages in the southern part of the island of Chios. It has been cultivated there for over 3,000 years, and the cultivation of mastiha has been honored by UNESCO on its list of Intagible Cultural World Heritage. It kills h pylori, which is the bacteria that causes peptic ulcers, gastric cancer, and acid refulx. Healing properties for the stomach and digestive system are retained in liquor form. More importantly, its absolutely delicious and fabulous in cocktails! We humbly call this bartenders olive oil, it is THAT versatile. Mixes 1:1 with every base spirit on the backbar (namingly, tequila, gin, mezcal, vodka, whisky, rum, cognac, and the list goes on...). Complex, and layered, and not a one-note. KLEOS has aromas of eucalyptus, sage, and tasting notes of cucumber, sweet tea, mint, citrus, ginger, aloe, carrots, turnips, parsnips. Earthy, minerally, and yet slightly sweet, KLEOS is balanced enough to be consumed on the rocks and in a myriad of cocktails.
