Nagoya University’s Institute of Transformative Bio-Molecules (ITbM) was selected in October 2012 as one of the centers of the World Premier International Research Center Initiative (WPI) program funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), and was officially launched in April 2013. Institute of Transformative bio-Molecules (ITbM) aims to create a new interdisciplinary field of research through the collaboration of cutting-edge molecular synthetic chemistry and animal/plant biology, and to deliver bio-molecules that change the way we live. Such molecules are defined as “transformative bio-molecules”. 名古屋大学トランスフォーマティブ生命分子研究所(ITbM)は、文部科学省が開始した事業「世界トッ プレベル研究拠点プログラム(WPI)」に平成 24 年 10 月に採択され、平成 25 年 4 月に正式に発足した国際 研究拠点です。 トランスフォーマティブ生命分子研究所 (ITbM) では、最先端の分子合成化学と動植物科学の連携によって新しい学際領域研究を創出するととも に、我々の生活を大きく変える生命機能分子、すなわちトランスフォーマティブ生命分子を世に送り出す ことを目的としています。
