Institute for Applied Blockchain

The Institute for Applied Blockchain (IABC) was founded to facilitate a systematic search for fields of application. At the moment, there are a large number of tests or pilot projects that have been started out of pure actionism. This not only costs money, but also damages the acceptance of the technology. The biggest deficit is currently a good understanding of what blockchain (or distributed ledger technology) can or cannot do. Therefore, education and training on this subject are at the center of our IABC activities. In addition, we want to help practitioners testing real-life problems on their suitability for blockchain solutions. This requires a fundamental understanding of both the underlying technology and the specific industrial challenges. Only if there is a real problem, the use of a new technology makes sense (and not just because the technology is "hot"). Services of the IABC • Identification and development of applications for industry and government (workshops and joint projects), e.g. web3, sustainability and supply chain • Evaluation of opportunities and threats of using blockchain, NFTs or web3 for companies and public bodies (studies) • Regarding the Token Economy, the IABC advises on the tokenization of existing and new business models, e.g. by designing corresponding token models and supporting their implementation.
