Innovation Fund was founded by the Innovation Law to encourage entrepreneurship and provide financing for innovation. It became operational since May 2011. The Fund is based on development and implementation of targeted financial programs aimed at strengthening science and technology advancement and its commercialization. Innovation Fund is also established to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation in Serbia.
Innovation Fund programs target innovative companies with high growth potential. The Fund is continuously developing financing instruments to support innovative start-up and spin-off companies, to establish connections with the private sector R&D and to initiate creation of venture capital funds.
