Founded in 1950, Shaker Group (Al Hassan Ghazi Ibrahim Shaker Company) has been LG Air Conditioners’ sole distributor in Saudi Arabia since 1995 and has manufactured LG Air Conditioners since 2006. The Group is also the exclusive local distributor for a portfolio of acclaimed home appliance brands including Maytag, Ariston, Indesit, Midea, Panasonic, and Bompani. Shaker Group’s core business segments in Saudi Arabia are Wholesale, B2B (Business-to-Business), and Project. In 2015, the Group increased its stake in the UAE’s Emirates Management Services (EMS) and in 2017 founded Energy Services Company (ESCO) in Saudi Arabia – an energy-saving consultancy and retrofitting service provider. In 2010, Shaker Group offered 10.5 million shares of 30% of its capital on Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul stock exchange, as an Initial Public Offering (IPO). The Group’s shares have since been publicly traded under the ticker symbol ‘SHAKER’.
