In 1930, Grythyttan Stålmöbler designed and manufactured the first chair, the A2, which was introduced at The Stockholm Exhibition. The success was immediate and a complete array of furniture for the garden soon followed. Popularity grew, and during the 40’s and 50’s the furniture found its way into many Swedish gardens, and into many Swede’s hearts. Ever since, the brand stands for quality in manufacturing, materials, and design that lasts for generations. The family owned company still operates from Grythyttan where production, assembling and packing takes place. Each piece of furniture is a result of solid workmanship. The quality and durability proves itself time and time again as generations pass by, inheriting, appreciating and growing up with the same piece of furniture. The materials are solid wood and solid spring steel. The timelessness of the furniture is one of the secrets to its popularity. Relaxing moments of solitude or comfortable dining and socialising, the versatility of Grythyttan Stålmöbler is widely appreciated. New generations keep on discovering and appreciating the timeless designs. Special spring steel is the secret of the characteristic give in the chairs and its clean lines of functionalism never go out of style. The classic design will always feel modern, and it will always tell the story of Grythyttan Stålmöbler. Cherishing our inheritance, we are focusing on the future. Just like we always have.
