Hi there! I’m Solanda, founder of GoBe Kids, makers of the original Snack Spinner. I am passionate about raising the best little ones possible and encouraging healthy relationships with food. We as parents know the routine all too well: we buckle our kids in their car seats and within five minutes (if we’re lucky), they’re already asking for snacks. You’re then forced to “spin” your body in ways you never thought possible to hand them snacks one by one, hoping you don’t find a sticky mess all over the floor and in the cupholder (speaking from experience). I wanted to clean up the mess and put the fun back in snacking… for everyone. That’s why my husband (an engineer) and I created the GoBe Snack Spinner, a sustainable, spill-resistant snack container that keeps messes at bay and little ones smiling. With the press of a button, kids independently spin from one snack to the next. But the GoBe Snack Spinner is so much more than a fun, spill-resistant snack container. The GoBe Snack Spinner allows kids to exercise their power within limits. As the parent, I am responsible for what, when, and where they eat, and my children are responsible for how much they eat. Simply put: I offer my toddlers a variety of foods and then let them decide what to eat. This is so important because as a mom of four young girls growing up in a diet culture all I want for them is to have a positive relationship with themselves and food... for life. Parents love it.
