The Global Solidarity Fund serves as a catalyst, prompting partnerships across the private sector, the development sector, and Catholic communities to advance social and economic opportunities for the most vulnerable.
GSF was created in 2018 by leading business and philanthropic organizations with diverse strengths and perspectives, but a shared ambition to capitalize on successful collaboration and demonstrate moral leadership by supporting values-based initiatives. We help to unlock and harness the unique assets of the Catholic Church – its global reach, its moral leadership, and its rich history of service to communities and families on the margins of society – to drive more equitable development. In so doing, we support partnership across Catholic communities at both the local and global levels, such that their collaboration with the international development and business communities yields transformative impact at scale, accelerating progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
