Gårdskapital connects farmers and investors to accelerate the regenerative transformation through capital allocation toward a better food system. We are a group of entrepreneurs, farmers, bankers, asset managers and sustainability experts with a deep understanding of the problems within a complex value chain and united behind a common vision of accelerating the growth of the sustainable food system. The overall health of the systems that enable optimal survival of humanity on the planet are now approaching levels of crisis, such that soon we will have caused irreversible damage to the delicate balance of those systems. We are close to a tipping point after which the degradation of those systems accelerates with compounding problems that ultimately lead to difficult conditions for humans to live on the planet together with the extinction of numerous (millions) of other living species. Our focus is on agriculture, as it is probably the single most influential human activity that can positively impact the systems that are most threatened. Regenerative agriculture can heal many of the systems that are endangered, but we need to channel capital to those areas in crisis.
