Founded in 2014, SJSU Spartan Fund is a highly selective, leading undergraduate investment fund at the San Jose State University’s Lucas College of Business and sponsored by Financial Navigator, Inc. The goal is to provide students with hands-on learning and experiences in evaluating financial assets through both fundamental and quantitative analysis. With an initial $50,000 provided by our sponsor, undergraduate students manage equities in various industries that are composed in the S&P 500 under the Global Industry Classification Standard. Our members are high performing. Graduating seniors have gone off into a variety of firms. Members have gone on to work for Bridge Bank, Charles Schwab, Morgan Stanley, Hedge Trackers, US Capital Partners, AvidBank, and more. As such, members can expect an extensive network that can open many doors during recruiting season.
